Job Description:
Horizon Teachers are currently working with a Primary School in Southwark that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 2 class that requires close support as they have SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will need to help the class teacher manage their behaviour and use your initiative to help best support them. You will need to be resilient and be able to quickly create a rapport with the child.

This school work hard to provide a welcoming environment to prepare students to be confident and happy within their education. The school is also located a 5-minute walk from a Central London train and tube station.

This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £550 per week. The role is to start in September for the full academic year, until July 2025.

* Experience supporting children within a Primary setting.
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs/challenging behaviours is very desirable.
* Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
* Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
