Job Description:
My client are looking to bring on board an experienced Quality Engineer based out of their site in Wolverhampton .
My client are a global third party logistics company that are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer into their site in Wolverhampton.
The key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer based in Wolverhampton include put are not limited to the following.
* Gather data from customers and internal sources for problem solving, and report findings to the appropriate personnel. Interact with staff across locations and with customer and prospective customer representatives.
* Handle all Quality Engineering-related launch activities and serve as the voice of the Corporate Quality team.
* Execute launch activities, new hire training, shop floor production support, and product containment.
* Prepare all APQP & PFEP documentation for part files on new and existing products/processes. Collaborate with site Quality and Engineering departments on new part programs to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Create PFMEA, process control plans, and operator/associate training materials.
* Provide on-site support for execution and readiness activities related to steady-state and major launches.
* Drive regional and local quality initiatives.
* Implement best practices and standardised quality metrics across all company operations.
* Create training documentation and exercises.
* Maintain training scorecards.
* Analyse existing operations and propose continuous improvements.
* Support the development and execution of training and development strategies while leveraging emerging technologies in the work cell training space.
The successful candidate of the Quality Engineer role based in Wolverhampton will have the following experience, skills and characteristics.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
* Experience in a quality role within the automotive or logistics sector.
* Familiarity with relevant international standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, etc.).
* Knowledge of structured quality launch processes, preferably within the logistics/supply chain industry or equivalent APQP processes and tools (flow charts, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.).
* Proven understanding of quality standards, inspections, and written quality requirements.
* Experience with production floor training software is a plus.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% to support new launches and projects.
£40,000 - £42,000 + benefits
