Job Description:
Job Summary: An exciting opportunity to work in a small friendly financial advisers team as a junior paraplanner for a Chartered IFA in a London City office. IFA has 28 years experience with an established client bank of c£130M under management with 200 clients, providing advice in most areas of financial, investment, and retirement planning.
Are you the right person for us?
* Graduate level, financial background would be good but not essential.
* Ability to work on own initiative with strong organisational skills to plan and manage own workload and prioritise tasks as appropriate.
* Excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail and good report writing ability are essential parts of this role.
* Strong interpersonal skills, a naturally confident communicator, driven and self-motivated, able to demonstrate professionalism and the desire to develop in the role with ability to apply your own judgement.
* Enthusiastic, organised, self-starter with the ability to own tasks and enjoy working in a busy role.
* Fully competent with MS Office, with expert Excel knowledge an advantage. Ideal candidates will also be familiar with industry-specific applications.
* Interest in financial affairs and a commitment to your own personal development in financial paraplanning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for administering IFAs client base and communicating with clients where necessary.
* Writing investment and pension recommendation reports and client review reports.
* Undertaking research, analysis and prepare for client meetings.
* Submit new business and administer existing cases on on-line platforms.
* Liaise with the IFA to work on client cases.

Qualifications:
* Graduate level, a financial background would be good but not essential. The desire to develop in the role and keen to study towards the Diploma in Financial Planning.
