Job Description:
MB617: Stonemason
Location: Manchester and surrounding counties
Salary: £42,900
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm with overtime available on a Saturday

Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic specialist restoration business who are looking to recruit a Stonemason on a permanent basis due to growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Renovations of historic and heritage buildings.
* Travel to multiple sites across the North of the UK (predominantly from Manchester to Leeds)
* Creating daily records and updating BMS (business management system)
* Ordering of materials
* Ensuring project follow programme and stay within budget
* Assist project/contract manager with long term planning
* Ensure strict health and safety procedures are adhered to
* May be required to assist in other areas if skills allow and are required.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Stonemason, preferably in architectural stone masonry.
* Proficiency in various stone cutting, carving, and shaping techniques.
* Knowledge of different types of stones and their properties.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
* Strong understanding of health and safety practices in the construction industry.
* Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
* Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in stonemasonry.
