Job Description:
As a General Foreman, you will be at the forefront of our project, overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site. You will ensure that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the work of site personnel and subcontractors.
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise.
* Maintain high standards of work quality and efficiency.
* Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
* Oversee the use and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications and company policies.
* Manage site documentation and records.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a General Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the civil engineering or construction sector.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Excellent knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and health and safety regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification is an advantage.
