Underwriting Manager
Oldham
Monday to Friday 9-5, with 2 days work from home each week
Salary circa £45-48k
This is a great opportunity to work for a finance company based in Oldham that is going through an exciting period of growth. They are looking for someone to join them as the Underwriting Manager at their Oldham site, managing a team of approximately 10 staff.
They receive over 100,000 finance applications per year, and they underwrite and approve 100’s of applications every week.
You will be responsible for the underwriting and administrative departments within the credit side of the business
Ensuring clear auditable workflows and exceptional performance and efficiency delivery are achieved
Focusing on performance and compliance management along with the training and development of all underwriters and support staff.
You may be responsible for underwriting the more complex credit applications personally, however, the majority of your role is about the smooth running of the department and ensuring all key business objectives are met.
The following experience is essential for this role:
- Management/supervisory experience
- Knowledge of KYC regulations
- Underwriting and customer affordability assessments
