We are working with renewable energy company specialise in energy transmission based in Gloucestershire. Supporting them with appointing a new Health & Safety Officer.

Location: Cheltenham, initially full-time office based with option for hybrid working + occasional travel across UK
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme (circa 5%), Private medical through Bupa, pension, Green travel scheme and a future profit share scheme.
  
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, laws, and standards.
* Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.
* Perform risk assessments and identify potential hazards within the workplace.
* Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend corrective actions.
* Ensure the implementation of safety measures to reduce risks.
* Provide guidance on health and safety best practices.
* Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, or IOSH are highly desirable.
* Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations, preferably within the energy industry.
* Ability to conduct field inspections in various environments, which may include climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.
* Adherence to strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
