SSEN are looking to recruit an asset systems analyst to maintain and improve the business’s core asset management systems.
In this role you will:
* Own and maintain the networks asset data and processes within our core systems, ensuring that data and systems are in line with asset management policies and procedures and reporting requirements.
* Raise and trouble-shoot issues with day-to-day performance and system updates. Work with IT to test system updates and approve changes.
* Drive improvements to systems and data aligned to our continuous improvement programme and transformation priorities. You’ll work collaboratively with IT and business users to horizon scan for opportunities, develop projects, and drive implementation in the business.
* Ensure appropriate training and briefing material is available for BAU and system enhancements.
* Build strong relationships with key decision makers in the business and external parties e.g. system vendors, to enable buy-in on system support and enhancements.
What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
* Relevant degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) subject or equivalent experience, combined with experience in an economically regulated utility or asset management team in an asset-intensive industry.
* Deep understanding of asset management systems (e.g. asset register, works management, mobile data collection, GIS).
* Expert knowledge of the structure and nature of data sets associated with asset intensive economically regulated utilities.
* Working knowledge of tools to process large datasets e.g. Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Python or similar.
* Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills, and a commitment to continual development of technical skills.
* Ability to present information, guidance, and recommendations in a friendly and engaging manner, recognising different pre-requisite knowledge levels of your audience.
