Senior Accounts Manager (Practice)
Salary: £50k + DOE + great benefit package
Location: Hove (hybrid working will be considered)
Hours: Mon - Fri Minimum of 30 hours of Full Time 38.75 hours
On site parking
Do you have a solid background working for an accountancy practice and have a proven background of supervising staff and want to work for a forward thinking, modern and highly reputable practice that is expanding? If so, I have a great opportunity in my clients Hove office, working alongside the Partner to manage their portfolio of clients and supervising a team of six staff.
You will be ACA or ACCA qualified and have a minimum of three years post qualification practice experience and enjoy working for a friendly and busy organisation that values their employees.
Responsibilities:
* Reviewing work and finalising accounts, tax returns, letters and fees directly to the client.
* Reporting to and working alongside the Partner.
* Reviewing client and HMRC correspondence, drafting responses and communicating directly with the client.
* Oversee the workflow of the team.
* Assisting with client ad hoc advisory matters, financial forecasts, management accounts etc.
* Managing the team with regards to attendance, training and holiday.
* Maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Competent with accountancy software packages, Xero, CCH, Excel and Word.
The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to apply:
* ACA or ACCA qualified.
* Proven background within an accountancy practice.
* Proven management and supervisory skills.
* Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* Strong IT skills inclusive or Word, Excel and using accountancy software packages such as Xero, QuickBooks etc.
* Professional, proactive and personable.
