We are searching for a Senior Accountant to join our client who are based centrally in Ripon and proud to be well-established in the local area after many years of being trusted by their loyal and growing client base. You will be joining a tight-knit friendly team who are committed to providing an excellent service, providing accountants preparation, tax advice and a dedicated VAT and payroll department to ensure all clients ranging from sole traders to limited companies can benefit from a full service offering for all of their accounting needs.
 
As Senior Accountant your duties will include: 
* Working in the accounts preparation team, preparing more complex accounts for all types of clients.
* Preparing tax returns.
* Preparing tax computations and providing advice to clients on tax issues.
* Assisting the Directors in securing and onboarding new clients.
* Supporting clients during the transition from manual records to cloud software.
* Managing junior members of the team as required.
Skills required:
* AAT / ACA / ACCA qualification (highly preferred).
* Knowledge of SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks and IRIS.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Great verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate with different people at all levels.
* A positive, can-do attitude.
If you are successful in securing the role as Senior Accountant you will receive a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience, working Monday - Friday.
