About the Role: As a Mortgage Underwriter, you’ll play a crucial role in assessing and approving mortgage applications with precision and adherence to high standards. You’ll ensure all applications comply with the lending criteria and regulatory requirements, managing a diverse portfolio to deliver optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Underwrite Mortgage Applications: Maintain high standards and strict adherence to lending criteria.
* Analyse Credit Data: Interpret CAIS/Credit data for individual and company applications.
* Assess Portfolio Landlords: Ensure compliance with current regulations.
* Manage Pipelines: Efficiently handle your own pipeline of applications.
* Provide Training and Support: Assist colleagues and share knowledge.
* Handle Complex Cases: Take ownership of challenging cases and queries.
* Collaborate Effectively: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experienced: Minimum 1 year of underwriting experience in the Buy to Let market.
* Knowledgeable: Strong understanding of the mortgage process and market.
