Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield, London
Type: Full-Time
Start Date: September
Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and supportive secondary and primary schools based in Enfield and surrounding Boroughs. These full-time roles starting in September offer an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with ASD and ADHD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Work closely with classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
* Support students in both academic and social activities, fostering their overall development.
* Employ effective behavior management strategies to support positive student behavior.
* Facilitate small group and one-on-one sessions to reinforce learning objectives.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
* Collaborate with school staff and external professionals to support student learning and well-being.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with students with ASD and ADHD is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of the challenges and strategies associated with supporting students with special educational needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications or training in special education is a plus.
