Reporting to: Regional Director
Role Overview
To Manage all warehouse responsibilities including stock, health & safety and some transport management responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Day to day management of the warehouse and yard
* Ensuring all areas are operating observing Health and Safety regulations at all time
* Ensure orders are picked accurately and in a timely manner
* Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly
* Managing, developing and motivating a team to perform accurately and efficiently
* Ensuring the goods in and out process is followed correctly
* Stock control
* Effectively introduce and manage change
* Accurately reporting on picking errors, stock, H&S
* Identifying training requirements
* Plan, prioritise and organise own workload effectively
* Identify opportunities to apply new business techniques and develop growth
* Interact with and support other departments within the business
Successful candidates must have:
* Previous exposure to all aspects of Warehouse Management, including Team management, Operations, Administration and Stock Control
* Experience in transport management (desirable)
* Previous experience in building materials or a building products distribution background (desirable)
* Great communication and organisational skills and an excellent telephone manner
* A methodical approach and an eye for detail, as well as being IT literate
* Self-motivation and the ability to embrace change
* Highly proficient in data extraction and manipulation.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
* Excellent IT Skills
* Fork Lift & Counter Balance (essential)
