Shipping Manager | B2B Food Distribution | City of London | £30k - £35k (DoE)
Zachary Daniels Recruitment are delighted to have partnered with a successful specialist supplier of foods to the manufacturing sector.
Working within the Logistics team, you will specifically manage full container loads that come into the UK from global locations. This role has been created due to an internal move and would be well suited to a commercially minded Import / Export Co-ordinator looking for a step up.
The ideal candidate MUST have experience in Import / Export and an understanding of procedures for the UK and the EU.
Only applicants with eligibility to work in the UK will be considered.
Please note, this role is based on site 5 days per week.
Responsibilities of the Shipping Manager:
* Manage the company’s containerised shipments from around the world
* Liaise with our customs agents and full-load haulier network to ensure our cargo is promptly customs cleared and delivered to our warehouses and customers
* Processing shipping invoices and monitoring logistics-based costs
* Process and check shipping documents, liaising with suppliers and customers across the world
* Ensure the company is obtaining the best prices and services from shipping lines, customs agents, hauliers and warehouses
* Arrange FOB and FCA shipment bookings with shipping lines
The ideal candidate:
* Import / Export & logistics experience is a must
* Sound knowledge of Shipping procedures
* Be commercially minded and be able to work well in a pressurised environment
* Be within a commutable distance to the office (Located close to Liverpool Street, Bank, Moorgate) and be prepared to work in the office 5 days per week
* Competent user of MS Excel
