Job Description:
We have registered an interesting temporary assignment for an experienced Health and Safety professional to join our client for a period of 3 months initially.
Starting as soon as possible, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Health and Safety for this area of the organisation. As the on-site expert in your field, you will be given full autonomy and support to ensure risk assessments and legislative compliance are adhered to.
This is a part-time position working 18.75 hours, approximately 2.5 days per week – these days are flexible; however, they will need to be worked with standard business hours.
Please note, you will be required to be on-call however it is rare you will be required to attend the site outside of working hours.
Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary Health & Safety Officer (part-time) Responsibilities
* Facilitating and providing advice for specific risk assessments
* Acting as the Health & Safety representative for meetings
* Identifying projects for safety process improvement
* Conducting safety inspections
* Ensuring all areas of the organisation comply with legislation
* Supporting business initiatives to achieve compliance with internal and external policies
* Ensuring accurate reporting in all areas of responsibility

Temporary Health & Safety Officer (part-time) Requirements
As the Temporary Health & Safety Officer, you will have sound knowledge of UK/EU legislation relating to H&S along side:
* Dedicated background in Health and Safety
* Ideally hold a NEBOH or IOSH qualification
* Ideally have worked in the medical sector, with experience in lab safety
* Experience or knowledge of the Human Tissue Act is highly desirable

Our client is located in Headington with no on-site parking, however has excellent public transport links.
