CMG are thrilled to be working with a renowned business based in central London to help them recruit an Assistant Management Accountant into their team.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for a candidate who is just at the beginning of their accounting studies (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), looking to gain further experience in a busy environment whilst gaining full study support.

Duties and responsibilities:
* Assist in analysing financial data to provide insights into business performance, trends, and variances
* Examine income statements and balance sheets to identify key financial metrics
* Analyse costs related to production, operations, or projects
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
* Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
* Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and assist with financial reporting requirements
* Produce balance sheet reconciliations
* Support the preparation of internal management reports
* Assist in creating external financial reports for regulatory bodies or stakeholders
* Investigate variances between actual and budgeted figures
* Provide recommendations for corrective actions based on the analysis
* Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned by management
* Involve in process improvement initiatives and other ad hoc tasks
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards in all financial activities.

Skills:
* Studying towards ACA, CIMA or ACCA
* Problem-solving
