** Interim Financial Controller Opportunity for an immediate start ***
Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a competent and credible Financial Controller to join an established and growing business in West Sussex, part of a larger plc, offering a friendly and cohesive culture. This role is for an interim Financial Controller reporting to the Finance Director, on an initial 5 or 6 month contract, and requires an enthusiastic individual to focus on the firm’s month end reporting.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
* Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to parent company in accordance with group instructions.
* Develop and adapt internal procedures for monthly closing to ensure high quality and timely reporting, including accruals, tax reserves, etc.
* Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
* Manage contact with auditors.
* Prepare statutory annual financial statements and annual corporate tax returns.
* Carrying out analysis of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets and preparing cash flow projections and analyses.
The successful candidate will be:
* A fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post qualified experience
* Evidence of holding full responsibility for producing monthly accounts for an SME, as well as quarterly and year end reporting.
* Able to demonstrate strong core technical accounting knowledge - UK GAAP legislation and statutory requirements
* Able to start within 1 month.
* Happy to work on-site at head office in West Sussex.
