Robertson Bell are partnering exclusively with this renowned public sector organisation as they go to market for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join the Financial Accounting team as they look to revolutionise their processes.
Key responsibilities of this Financial Accountant role include:
* Oversee the audit process for your entities, ensuring timely resolution of queries from Auditors.
* Review and consolidate accounts, including VAT responsibilities, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Drive transformation and improvement initiatives within the financial function.
* Manage small sets of accounts, focusing on providing technical and accounting advice for multiple entities across the organisation.
* Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including Auditors and senior colleagues.
This opportunity is based in Norwich and offers hybrid working, requiring an office presence of three days per week in the office. Other benefits include a competitive annual leave allowance that rises with service, a highly sought after government pension and other wellbeing perks.
 The successful candidate will:
* Be a fully CCAB qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIPFA) with a thorough understanding of financial accounting, IFRS standards, and audit processes.
* Ideally, possess experience in the public or private sector audit or come from the wider public sector in a similar role.
* Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and drive improvements.
* Have gained exposure to consolidating accounts for multiple entities.
