Commercial Manager – Construction, Salary: Up to £100k + car, private healthcare, benefits. Location: Leeds / Hybrid with UK travel
We require an experienced Commercial Manager to work for a leading construction group who deliver design and build solutions to the commercial, education, retail, healthcare and leisure sectors.
The role:
The Commercial Manager is responsible for the effective leadership of an established commercial team, including Quantity Surveyors and Estimators, to ensure management of all financial and commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring profitability, minimising risks, and maximising returns. The Commercial Manager has overall accountability for contract negotiation, cost control, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Candidate requirements:
* Significant experience in a Commercial Manager or similar commercial role within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, financial management, and risk management.
* Excellent leadership skills with a good understanding of quantity surveying and estimating functions.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in financial software and project management tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
