Job Description:
We are recruiting for an Operations Analyst to join a company which plays a central role in supporting competition in the non-household retail water market. As an Operations Analyst, you will be supporting members of an Operations and Assurance team, carrying out the financial settlement process and enabling the efficient entry of new members into the market. If you want to play a key role in driving improvements to processes and services offered to Trading Parties in the Non-Household Water Market and you have a good understanding of governance frameworks within a regulated industry, apply today!
Key responsibilities:
* Carry out the financial settlement process to deliver accurate and timely reporting
* Enable the efficient entry of new members into the market, reducing barriers to entry
* Facilitate planned and unplanned exit of Trading Parties from the market to ensure a smooth transfer of customers
* Work to a monthly cycle, produce reliable reporting tools and analysis, escalating any issues
* Implement efficiency enhancements to business processes
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the Operations and Assurance Team and other departments to drive market improvements.
* Representing the company at market, industry and wider forums and events
* Present material to members at monthly committees and forums, sharing trends and provide feedback to members
* Provide support to the audit and assurance functions within the team
Skills and experience required:
* An understanding of operational processes and procedures
* Experience in governance frameworks within a regulated industry
* Process, compliance and risk management experience in driving improvement.
* Collaborative with the ability to shape issues, influence and network with key members and stakeholders
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment and good commercial awareness.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to interpret complex data and convert into plain English for a wide range of audiences
