Job Description:
Reed HR are supporting a progressive Charity to recruit a HR Generalist, you will be an additionto a high-functioning team of professionals focused on developing and supporting people. They deliver on learning and development, HR, engagement, culture, workforce planning and resourcing across the organisation.
This generalist role mainly focuses on HR operations, dealing with service providers and suppliers, making their processes LEAN and their systems fit for purpose. It includes providing up to date HR advice and dealing with employee relations matters whereby you will deliver excellent, customer-focused end to end advice and support to the whole organisation-suite of staff. You will make continuous service improvements in all your work, keeping your internal and external customers at the heart of all your thinking.
In line with their ways of Agile working, alongside the operational tasks that you will deliver within your remit, you may also spend part of your time using your skills, knowledge and expertise to work in squads of between six to nine people on customer focused product development. 
As an experienced generalist, you will be responsible for the smooth running of HR operations, liaising with Finance and leaders on their pay and reward offering, setting and tracking KIPs and ensuring their HR systems are fit for purpose.
Roughly two third of the role focuses of HR operations with a third focusing on being an advisor.
* Be the main contact for the Charity’s suppliers e.g., occupational health, pensions, pay and reward, EAP etc and continuously putting our customers first and making improvements.
* Be the main contact person for compiling, analysing, reporting and improving HR and people chapter related MI to identify trends and solutions.
* Ensure the HR, Resourcing and L&D systems are fit for purpose working alongside HR admin, Resourcing and L&D chapter colleagues.
* Play a key part in their annual pay, reward and performance management processes.
* Advise and support managers with changes in employment terms and conditions, operation of their performance development and evaluation system, contribution maps steps, pay and reward queries, skills / workforce planning.
* Support and assist with the creation, development and implementation of HR policies and supporting guidance, ensuring information is up to date on the Intranet.
* Successfully manage employee relations matters ensuring advice is up to date, robust and legally compliant.
* Support, develop and coach managers to manage issues within best practice adhering to our policies and procedures but be pragmatic and solutions focused.
* Support organisational development, restructures, culture and engagement initiatives.
* Develop effective working relationships with senior leaders, influencing and challenging where needed, to assist with the development and delivery of and in support of the charity’s strategic goals.
