Job Description:
Our client; a professional organisation with a varied range of clients in both the public and private sector is looking for an accounts assistant/bookkeeper to join their team.
This is a new role due to growth and their ideal candidate should have good excel skills, as well as a keen interest in learning and developing a career in finance.
You will have a desire to work towards or already be working towards your AAT Level 2 certificate in Accounting. The candidate will be given full training and support in working towards the above qualification. The candidate must be detail focused and have a high level of accuracy when entering data.
Duties include:
* Processing purchase invoices
* Processing bank transfers as requested
* Assisting with administering payroll on a monthly basis
* Scanning, filing and logging account documents, maintaining electronic and paper files
* Credit control including production of statements, chasing payments by telephone and email
* Data analysis as requested mainly using excel.
* Pulling reports from Xero and our internal management system as requested.
Key Skills:
* Competent user of IT and Microsoft applications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills particularly on the telephone
* Personable and friendly
* Accurate and precise
