Team / Role Overview:


The Commodities Data Governance is an intermediate-level position within the Commodities Business Execution Projects team. Role will focus on validation, verification, and integrity of critical data elements and how they are utilised. Projects will include (but not limited to) EUC remediation, trade monitoring, price risk Data workstream, working with Commodities Static Data and STP IT groups on control implementation and data quality clean-up.

The key stakeholders for this role would be Technology, MQA, Business Unit Managers, Commodities Sales and trading as well as central risk and control teams.

What you’ll do:
* Manage & co-ordinate the Commodities Data Governance Forums and participate in cross Markets data governance groups
* Remediation of data quality exceptions identified and work with IT to build controls to prevent data inaccuracies
* Understand and oversee the timely delivery of activities and tasks related to the data section of the consent order
* Perform due diligence on new trade flow or changes to existing flows to assess impacts to data utilisation and controls
* Ensure data consistency across systems and flows
* Use metrics and statistical data to help drive trade monitoring capabilities
* Mapping of front to end data for static and trade data as well as process flow
* Manage & co-ordinate projects to authenticate, automate and streamline utilisation of data
* Partnering with Technology teams to shape and deliver technology solutions in support of required business outcomes
What we’ll need from you:
* Proven ability to work with large data sets
* Ability to proficiently use MS Office products and visio
* Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a sense of urgency
* Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
* Proven interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
* Strong knowledge and experience of the Commodities market or support function an advantage
* Project management experience an advantage
* Strong self-starter, pro-active and team player
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
