This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced WordPress Developer / Web Designer / Creator, to join a leading company in Basingstoke.
As the Web Designer/Creator, you will design, create, and maintain visually engaging and functional websites and web pages. You will ensure that the websites align with the company brand identity and meet the needs of the users. Your role will involve design and front-end development tasks, providing a seamless user experience across all devices.
Key Responsibilities for WordPress Developer / Web Designer / Creator:
* Design and develop visually appealing websites that are user-friendly and responsive.
* Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
* Ensure website content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
* Implement and refine website designs.
* Ensure website designs are optimised for speed and performance.
* Conduct regular website maintenance and updates to ensure functionality and usability.
* Stay up-to-date with web design trends, tools, and technologies.
* Conduct user research and testing to gather feedback and improve website design and functionality.
* Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
In order to be successful in your application, you must have strong experience - at least 3 years in Web Design will skills and experience as follows:
* Creation of commercial websites using WordPress.
* Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
* Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio of previous work.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
* Ability to work independently with strong time management
Any skills with front-end frameworks such as bootstrap or foundation would be extremely useful as would PHP, Python or Ruby.
