GTS Group have partnered with an exciting engineering business in the Leicester area to secure a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their team
About The Role of Electrical Design Engineer:
* Create and review design calculations and production documentation.
* Produce electrical wiring diagrams and component layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
* Ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and industry standards.
* Oversee the CE marking process on new designs, including performing DFMEAs.
* Conduct technical investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
* Provide technical support to Production, Sales, Service, and Customer Support teams.
* Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
* Identify and implement new industry processes within the company.
About You:
* Several years of electrical design experience, ideally including machinery design.
* Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Experience with CE marking and DFMEA processes.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical; familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Siemens) would be advantageous
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with various teams.
