Digital Engineer
Location: Telford and Shrewsbury
Salary: £35,000 - £65,000
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineer to join our team. This role involves MEP Co-ordination, BIM, and Digital Construction for various projects. The successful candidate will support the Project Team by providing necessary drawings and models to ensure the successful delivery of projects in line with the BIM Execution Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver stage 5 coordinated MEP models from stage 4 designs
* Detail MEP service modules for manufacture
* Produce individual service drawings for installation purposes
* Revise drawings to incorporate client instructions
* Upload drawings to a common data environment
* Address site queries related to drawings/models
* Input COBie data into the model environment
* Update models and drawings to as-built status
* Create Revit families for selected equipment
* Attend and lead coordination meetings with relevant team members
* Represent the company at clients’ BIM/Digital Asset meetings
* Perform other tasks as required by the Digital Engineering Lead
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 4 years of Revit experience in MEP coordination
* Solid understanding of MEP systems and their installation processes
* Proficient in Navisworks for clash detection and model checking
* Good understanding of ISO 19650 delivery standards
* Ability to assist in pre-sales and sales meetings if needed
* Experience with 4D and 5D BIM preferred but not essential
* Support the implementation of BIM standards, documentation, processes, and protocols for various customers and projects
Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of experience as a Digital Engineer/Coordinator or 4 years as a Trainee/Apprentice Digital Engineer
* Higher education to ONC/HNC level in a relevant engineering field preferred but not essential
