Our client, based in Manchester is looking for a finance assistant to join their talented and dedicated finance team on a permanent basis and is paying up to £27.3k. The role is 5 days per week, 35 hours and offers predominantly remote working, you are asked to go into their Manchester offices for business critical meetings and for the initial training period.
The purpose of the post is to maintain accurate and up to date financial records for all companies across the group by liaising with internal and external customers and to ensure that payments are made and received within agreed timescales.
Key responsibilities:
* To raise sales invoices to generate income across the group
* To work in both sales and purchase ledgers
* To communicate with suppliers and internal and external customers
* To carry out credit control function and issue payments
* To maintain accurate financial records as directed by the finance manager (including reconciliation and cash flow forecasts)
* To carry out bank reconciliations
The Person
* You will have experience working within a finance team and have knowledge of BOTH sales and purchase ledger
* You will have experience of maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
* You will have an excellent level of IT literacy and proficiency, especially within Excel
* An effective communicator, you will be well versed in working with people at all levels inside and outside of an organisation
* You must be commutable to Greater Manchester
