Electrical Design Engineer
Salary Range: £42,000 - £57,000
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Newport
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a world-leading manufacturer that is at the forefront of innovation in the industry. This role is ideal for a confident Engineer with a comprehensive understanding of electrical and electronic design, looking to apply their technical skills in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Engage in electrical assembly and design, including wiring harness design and electronic control/interface design.
* Create engineering drawings, build and test guides.
* Work on AC/DC power distribution, as well as analogue and digital circuit design.
* Conduct fault finding and problem-solving activities.
* Collaborate with specialists within a project, advising on equipment design/integration.
* Meet tight deadlines in a highly regulated industry, aiming to exceed customer expectations.
* Contribute to the development of new products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent professional experience in electrical design.
* Proven experience in electrical/electronic design.
* Strong understanding of Machinery Safety Regulations, EU harmonised standards, and the design of safety circuits.
* Experience in regulated environments with exposure to EN60204, EN13849, UL/NFPA regulations.
* Ideally, some experience with AutoCAD/Solid Edge and proficiency in these tools.
