Accounts Consultant
Lancing, West Sussex | Permanent | Hybrid | £26,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Role
Join this dynamic team as a Consultant, where you’ll be responsible for managing and delivering a client portfolio (about 100) across a diverse range of industries. Your role will involve engaging with clients to understand their projects, identifying R&D tax relief opportunities, and providing exceptional client management services.
Responsibilities
* Interaction with clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of the projects undertaken and identify how aspects of these projects. meet the eligible criteria through directing technical meetings.
* Drafting a clear technical narrative to support tax relief claims.
* Preparation of financial calculations to support tax relief claims.
* Develop financial knowledge and expertise to better support/ advise clients.
* Provide an exceptional client management service to enhance the broader network of the company.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in either accountancy/finance roles and/or similar
* Technician / AAT/ATT bookkeeping qualifications or accounting a degree with 2+ years accounting experience, someone who no longer wants to continue working in a Practice.
Essential Experience & Skills
* A collaborator with excellent communication skills.

* Demonstrates a positive ’cando’ attitude and good critical thinking skills.
* A trustworthy individual with good listening skills.
* An organised and time-efficient individual with the ability to deal with deadline pressures.
* An independent thinker with the ability to work on your initiative.
* An individual who strives to ensure high attention to detail.
* Good English and Math skills.
* Good working knowledge of IT.
Desirable Knowledge & Skills
* Previous experience working in team-based and consultancy environments.
* Prior experience working in a finance team.
* Previous experience in managing workload autonomously as well as working within a team.
* Prior experience of working with Monday.com.
* Previous experience of working with Research and Development (R&D) tax relief, however this experience is not needed.
* The ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
Remuneration
£25,000 - £34,000 dependent on experience as well as discretionary bonus (10% of salary), 25 days holiday.
Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday (can work 9-5 or 8-4)
