A Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is immediately required by my successful, prestigious client based in central Milton Keynes. Working a hybrid model you’ll be involved in designing, building, testing, and implementing cloud services, networks, servers, storage solutions, and more. You’ll also handle incidents and requests through their IT service management system.

Key responsibilities will include:


* Maintain, support, and enhance IT infrastructure for maximum system availability.
* Provide expertise in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, storage area network (PURE), Windows Server, VMWare, and more.
* Handle incidents, requests, and changes using ServiceNow in line with ITIL processes.
* Mentor other Infrastructure and Help Desk staff.
* Perform regular patching and updates to desktop and server estate.
* Participate in out-of-hours work and occasional travel to other offices.


The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will be expected to boast -


* Proven experience in a third-line role within an enterprise IT infrastructure.
* Knowledge in networks (LANs, WANs, MPLS, routers, firewalls), cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure), server/storage (VMWare, Windows Server, SAN), desktop delivery (SCCM), virtual desktop delivery (Citrix ADS VDI), email systems (Microsoft Exchange), and more.
* Professional qualifications in cloud and/or server and storage.
* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Flexibility for out-of-hours work.
