Purchase Ledger / Finance Clerk
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:30 - 16:30 (30 minutes lunch break). Flexibility to start earlier and finish earlier.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Purchase Ledger / Finance Clerk to join our finance team. This role will focus on managing the purchase ledger, performing bank reconciliations, and bookkeeping. The successful candidate will work closely with Paul, our Finance Director, who will be the hiring manager for this position.
Responsibilities:
* Purchase Ledger Management: Maintain and manage the purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
* Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
* Sage 50/200: Utilize Sage 50/200 software for all accounting tasks, ensuring proficiency in its use.
* Handover Process: Work closely with the retiring finance clerk to ensure a smooth transition and comprehensive handover of duties by the end of August.
* General Finance Support: Provide support to the finance department as needed, assisting with various tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts clerk role, with a strong focus on purchase ledger management.
* Proficiency in Sage 50/200 software.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
