Contract role - Accountant in IT/Software Development - Remote/London - 14 months contract - Inside IR35 PAYE

* Duration: 14 months contract (8/2024 - 10/2025)
We are looking for an accountant based out of the UK to primarily support the statutory financial audits and financial accounts preparation (in conjunction with our third-party providers). The individual should have an audit + IT/Software Development industry background and be comfortable with project managing an audit + the technical aspects that go with financial statement audits. The role will also involve some month-end related close work + balance sheet reconciliation preparation.

* Responsible for aiding monthly close activities
* Journal creation and posting
* Working with outsourced accounting providers where necessary + tax
* Working with company Tax and other teams (e.g. Treasury)
* Creating balance sheet reconciliations
* Working with the auditors on financial statement audits
* Project managing financial statement audits

Education and skills:

* Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA etc.)
* Previous practice/ audit experience
* Previous IT/Software Development industry experience
* Comfortable with financial statements and related work
The role is for maternity cover and will primarily involve handling the FS audits, project management and coordinating FS preparation with our third parties to ensure accounts are filed on time.
