Job Description:
The Bookkeeper position requires a thorough individual who can manage a variety of financial tasks and oversee the rest of the bookkeeping department. The role will involve maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and producing financial reports in the professional services sector.

A fast growing Birmingham based firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisers who specialise in working with growing owner-managed businesses, sole traders and partnerships.
Description
* Enter sales and purchase invoices.
* Enter bank transactions.
* Monthly reconciliation of bank, sales ledger, purchase ledger.
* Complete VAT returns on Sage/Xero.
* Prepare management accounts.
Profile
* Experience of working within a Practice environment.
* A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
* Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
* Carry out VAT processing independently.
* Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant software - Ideally Xero.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Qualification in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
