An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for BAE Systems within their Air Sector as a Procurement Engineer on a 9 month contract. The role will involve supporting the Training Procurement team with delivering the Training team strategy and contract performance. Specifically the role will include supporting bid and contract activity, proposal and RFx management, supplier management and contract delivery activities for next generation training projects.

Key duties will involve;
- Raising Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Request for Information (RFI)s and chasing in responses from Suppliers.
- Negotiating prices with suppliers
- Working closely with the Performance Procurement team.
- Working closely with the bid campaign team to achieve acceptable pricing.
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to chase dependencies.
- Supporting the Value Procurement Team with administrative activities.

Essential / Desirable skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications
- Understanding of procurement capabilities. - Understanding of sub-contract management
- Excellent communicator who can interact with diverse groups across organisational levels
- Evidence of working in a team.
