Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Manchester to recruit a Senior Category Manager. The role offers hybrid working and covers the Corporate Services and IT categories. You would also be responsible for managing a small team.
The Role:

* Lead on procurement projects to deliver value for money
* Provide contract support and strong supplier relationship management to ensure commercial objectives are hit
* Implement controls for high value, high risk contracts
* Advise stakeholders on the full procurement life cycle
* Develop new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with updated legislation
* Support departments throughout whole contract life
* Identify areas for improvement and value-added opportunities
* Manage a small team
The Person:

* Track record of procurement delivery at a high level
* Contract and supplier relationship management experience
* Experience of developing category strategies
* Stakeholder management skills
* Public Sector procurement experience
* MCIPS or equivalent level of relevant experience
