Financial Accountant
North Nottinghamshire
Hybrid Working (3 days at site with 2 from home)

Eaton Syalon is working with an incredible client in North Nottingham to hire a technically strong Financial Accountant to join their business. This role is suited to a Part qualified or recently qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with demonstratable technical & Financial Accounting skills, either gained in practice or industry. With exceptional routes for future growth, this role offers an opportunity to undertake broad ranging tasks while utilising your strong technical accounting understanding.
Our clients business is diverse, and partners with key prestigious clients to deliver their services across the UK. As part of the Finance team your role is crucial in providing comprehensive monthly reporting,managing a wide range of accounting services, ensuring efficient transaction processing.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure a consistent and high-quality finance service, offering support across team activities
* Review and implement process improvements and changes for finance processes across the business, ensuring financial controls are adhered to
* Ownership of company’s cash position, addressing cash flow pressures
* Deliver monthly management accounts to provide the business with the necessary financial information
* Monthly balance sheet and payroll reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements, correct taxation, and statutory accounts, and manage tax preparation duties or liaise with external tax accountants.
* Produce and analyse reports
* Provide technical support for year-end accounts preparation, including audit preparation
This role is ideal as a great first time move from a small or medium sized practice (where you have owned accounts prep as opposed to pure audit work) or maybe you have gained your experience as an Assistant Accountant in industry and you are ready for that next step. You may be part way through your studies, or recently qualified, either way you have gained strong financial and technical accounting knowledge through your work to date. You will need to possess strong IT skills (In particular MS Excel) and you enjoy working closely with key stakeholders, building productive working relationships.
