Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
* Implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to develop and deliver Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
* Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation situations, using appropriate techniques and training.
* Build trusting relationships with students, encouraging their engagement and participation in school activities.
* Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings and reviews.
Requirements:
* A background in psychology, mental health, or related field.
* Experience working with young people with SEMH needs.
* Training in CAMHS, Team Teach, de-escalation techniques, or similar.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the welfare and development of each student.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
