Job Description:
Are you a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher looking to make a significant impact in an outstanding rated school? Do you have the skills and compassion to support students with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)? Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with ASC, ADHD, PMLD, MLD, and SLD.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
* Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support.
* Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Engage with parents and caregivers to provide regular updates on student progress and to foster a collaborative approach to education.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with students with a range of SEND needs including ASC, ADHD, PMLD, MLD, and SLD.
* Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the welfare and development of each student.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
