About the Role

Base Location: Reading, Portsmouth, Perth or Glasgow
Salary: £33,500 - £50,300 + performance-related bonus+ a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: 15 month Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The SSEN-Distribution business is undergoing a significant period of change, including a large-scale transformation programme known as The Bridge Programme. The Bridge Programme aims to ’rewire’ the entire end-to-end business to transform Distribution into a customer-centric, digitally-enabled, industry leader.
As a Business Analyst, you will support the Business Design and Change Lead in all of their activities including change management and process design. You will employ qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques and data presentation methods and collaborate with business and project teams to ensure integrated and successful delivery with appropriate use of the Business Change Framework.
You will monitor safety standards, ensure effective training programs, comply with governance frameworks, and analyse budget management data. Strong communication is key for building relationships and ensuring a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and use the Business Change Framework and support project methodology, complying with governance frameworks, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
- Support organisational design activities and implement continuous improvements.
- Build strong relationships and communicate effectively to support business change, maintaining positive communication channels and support business performance.
- Analyse data to ensure programs stay on track for cost and benefit targets.
- Liaise with third party contractors ensuring information flow meets GDPR requirements.
What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Knowledge of Process Design and Improvement including an understanding of typical process artefacts such as taxonomies and maps.
- Quantitative and qualitative analytic skills to support project delivery, preferably with relevant technical/degree qualification e.g business studies, statistics, project management.
- Outstanding presentation and spreadsheet skills, advanced Excel and Powerpoint knowledge, Visio knowledge preferred.
- Workshop facilitation and people management.
- Highly organised, with the ability to work on multiple activities with tight timescales.
Good knowledge of the operation of the electricity network and understanding of the UK DNO regulatory environment would be beneficial.
