Temporary Care Home Chef
Role overview
We are currently recruiting for temporary care home chefs that can work at a variety of different locations in Norwich and surrounding arears. Must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a care home kitchen supervising staff. You will be responsible for delivering high standard of cookery according to residents needs ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
Job description
* Prepare and cook meals to a high standard
* To prepare special diets for residents as directed by the nursing staff.
* Work in a clean and tidy manner.
* Ensure food hygiene and health & safety rules are adhered to at all times
* To have full understanding of H.A.C.C.P, to ensure all staff adhere to H.A.C.C.P and
all documentation is completed and signed.
* Ensure the kitchen cleaned by the kitchen staff at the end of the shift
* Supervise kitchen staff and allocating duties where appropriate
* Ensure fridge and freezer temperatures are tested and recorded.
* Be calm under pressure and conducting yourself professionally at all times.
Registration requirements
* 12 months experience working in a care home chef capacity.
* Checkable references
* All applications will be subject to a DBS check unless you currently have a DBS registered online.
* Live local to Norwich or have access to a car.
* Be reliable and flexible and committed to delivering a high standard of cooking.
