Zenith People are working with our client who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a strong background in maintenance to join thier dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a Time Served Maintenance Technician with extensive experience in electrical fault finding on PLCs and providing guidance to other technicians on problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring all objectives are met within budget and on time.
* Perform electrical fault finding and troubleshooting on PLC systems.
* Provide technical support and advice to maintenance technicians on electrical issues and problem-solving techniques.
* Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and performance.
* Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
* Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and departments to ensure seamless project execution.
* Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, schematics, and manuals.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and maintenance practices.
Qualifications and Experience Required
* Time Served Maintenance Technician with a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent.
* Proven experience in electrical fault finding and troubleshooting on PLC systems.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and maintenance practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide clear technical guidance.
* Project management experience with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and software.
* Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Certification in PLC programming and maintenance.
* Experience with various PLC brands and models.
* Knowledge of automation and control systems.
