Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Stock Controller to join the team in Gloucester. This position offers a salary of £27k per annum and involves working hours from Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 16:30, and Friday, 07:00 to 16:00. The role is a temp-to-perm opportunity.
As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, managing bookings, and providing excellent customer service over the phone. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations and effective stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Precisely enter and update stock information in the inventory management system.
- Stock Management: Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate inventory to meet demand.
- Bookings Management: Handle and manage bookings, coordinating with various departments to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Customer Support: Provide assistance to customers over the phone, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Reporting: Generate and analyse stock reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse and purchasing teams to optimise stock control processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in stock control or inventory management.
- Excellent data entry skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
