The role is to oversee and manage the financial compliance and operational functions of the business. The Role
* Responsible for overseeing the financial operations and managing a small finance team
* Develop and monitor financial performance, budget, forcasting and financial reporting
* Working closely with directors, preparation and analysis for regular reporting to the board
* Preparation of financial statements and management accounts
* VAT Returns
* Monthly payroll including HMRC returns/pensions
* Oversee the debt collection process to make sure the business remains on target
* Operational and compliance standards to be managed and overseen.
* To oversee, manage a small team and support in recruitment and training within the finance department. To provide leadership and development within the department
The Person
* ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAEW qualified or equivalent
* Experience within a professional services environment (legal, property, financial service or accountancy practice background would be preferred)
* Management experience is essential, have the ability to lead and oversee a small team
* Proficiency in financial software and strong MS Excel skills
* Knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations
