Job Description:
Weighbridge Operator
Taskmaster Recruitment are currently looking to recruit for a Weighbridge Operator for our well-established client based within the Isle of Wight. With an initial 3 month contract, the position will be open to a permanent role for the right candidate.
What the Weighbridge Operator role will entail:
* Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the weighbridge operation, weighing vehicles as they enter and exit the facility.
* Administration duties including the vigilance to ensure all weights are recorded accurately and in an organised manner.
* To respond to public, trade and other queries directly and by telephone in a pleasant and efficient manner - dealing courteously with complaints and enquiries
* Ensure acceptance of waste complies with Duty of Care and Special Waste Regulations where appropriate
* To undertake routine computer and weighbridge alterations or adjustments where possible to do so in accordance with Thalia procedures
* Act as a personal role model to colleagues in driving adherence to core procedures, policies and systems
* Ensure all site visitors have received full Health & Safety induction and are wearing the correct PPE
Successful applicants for the Weighbridge Operator position will:
* Have a customer service background and previous experience with Microsoft Excel
* Will be able to work 4 days per week inclusive of one Saturday every other week
* You will be required to work across our 2 sites
* Basic numeracy, literacy, and IT skills. Understanding risk assessments / safe systems of work and working in accordance with them.
* Handling and processing auditable information
* Experience of maintaining compliance of paperwork
* Experience of dealing with customer complaints and escalating appropriately
* Able to work effectively alone or as part of a team
* Handling card sales payments for materials we accept
Salary and Hours for the position:
£25,000 per annum (£12.65 p/h) - £26,000 per annum (£13.16 p/h) subject to experience
Hours will be: 7am - 17:00 per day (9.5 hours per day)
