Job Description:
Our client, is a cutting-edge, forward-thinking accountancy multi-site accountancy firm committed to delivering exceptional financial services to a diverse range of clients. They are on the lookout for an experienced and meticulous Semi-Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team and help drive their mission of providing top-tier accounting solutions to a varied and interesting client base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly Management Reports:
* Craft comprehensive monthly management reports, expertly handling prepayments, accruals, fixed assets depreciation, foreign currencies, and balance sheet revaluation.

* Annual Accounts Preparation:
* Skillfully prepare annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and charitable organizations using IRIS Accounts Production software, from trial balance through to summary analysis.

* Working Papers and Reconciliations:
* Develop meticulous working paper files, including lead schedules, control accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations. Engage regularly with clients to resolve queries promptly.

* Bookkeeping and Records Maintenance:
* Maintain precise bookkeeping records for clients utilising QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage 50. This includes performing bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledger reconciliations, and posting journals, including year-end closing balance adjustments.

* Client Portfolio Management:
* Oversee a portfolio of clients, preparing business and personal tax returns, quarterly VAT returns, and liaising with HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of clients.

Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
* Proficiency with accounting software, including IRIS Accounts Production, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage 50, and Excel.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines efficiently.
* Detail-oriented with robust analytical skills.
