Job Description:
Right now, we have an excellent opportunity for a confident and hardworking Food & Beverage Team Leader. Assisting with the management and coordination of our friendly team at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary!
On a typical day you’ll be working in the thick of the action, in the Café, Donut Delight and the BBQ food & beverage units. Whilst ensuring that first class service is being delivered and profits are being improved!
Helping to supervise a team of hosts with a ’hands on approach’; actively ensuring high standards of guest care is maintained by them. Outstanding customer service will come naturally, as well as the ability to lead by example whilst creating a motivational team environment. You will assist with performance management of the team and enforce Health & Safety policies, procedures, and cleaning standards.
You will also help to ensure that the department standards are met, and all orders are made and delivered within specified timescales and budgets. Ensuring the units are fully stocked, being able to solve problems whilst keeping your ’cool’ on a hot day.
This is a permanent, full-time role and given the 7-day nature of the visitor attraction, there will be regular weekend and bank holiday working on a roster basis. So, you’ll need to be flexible with regards to working days and hours.
Qualifications & Experience * Have previous experience of leading a team in a catering environment
* Have strong communication skills coupled with bags of passion and energy
* Level 3 - Supervising Food Safety in Catering is desirable but an alternative qualification and/or proven experience in catering will be considered
* The ability to handle a fast-paced environment with a smile!
