Role: Learning Disabilities Residential Childcare Worker 
Salary: Up to £30,000.00 depending on Experience and Qualifications
Hours: Permanent, 40 hours a week
Location: Truro, Cornwall
Essential: Right to Work in the UK and a valid driving license

Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Difficulties Qualified Residential Childcare Workers to join our team. As a specialist Residential Childcare Worker specialising in Learning Disabilities, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day care, support, and development of the young people. you do not need to have been a Childcare worker before but roles such as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker working with these types of needs is essential!
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children and young people with learning disabilities.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans, focusing on the unique needs and abilities of each young person.
* Support the emotional, social, and educational development of young people through tailored activities and interventions.
* Promote positive behaviour and manage challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
* Build and maintain trusting relationships with young people.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our young people.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification OR imbedded experience with working with children with complex and varying needs
* Previous experience working with children and young people with Learning Disabilities in a residential setting is essential.
* Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and safeguarding practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* A full driving license is preferred but not essential.
