About Us: D. Parisella & Sons Limited, a manufacturer and retailer of premium ice cream and related products, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing director to join our team. Our company, founded in 1912, has a rich history and a reputation for quality and innovation. We operate four retail outlets and employ 49 dedicated staff members.
Role: Managing director
Location: Conwy, North Wales
Salary: Starting at £60,000 per annum, with the future remuneration package to be agreed upon with shareholders after a successful trial period.
Hours: 37 hours per week, with 30 days holiday (including Public Holidays).

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to join our team. As the MD, you will have the responsibility of controlling and overseeing all business operations including the manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing of our industry award winning. Providing strategic leadership to our committed team will be crucial in steering the company towards its long-term goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Direct the activities of the business while ensuring bottom-line profitability. Provide strategic advice to the board & shareholders, plan cost-effective business strategies, and develop new ideas to promote growth and sustainability, based on market and industry trends.
Goal Setting: Establish company goals aligned with the board and shareholder goals. Implement company policies and ensure adherence.
Performance Monitoring: Oversee reporting tools to monitor the ongoing performance of the company. Communicate company reports and achievements to the board & shareholders.
Financial Oversight: Maintain and monitor budgets to ensure the business operates efficiently from a financial perspective.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage senior staff in departmental positions.
* Maintain a safe and healthy workplace and follow safe practices.
* Take responsibility for company procedures and processes, company quality systems, and the requirements of any external regulators.
* Drive the expansion of wholesale and retail offerings, adjusting strategies as necessary.
* Monitor and analyse performance metrics.
* Optimise the processes within the wholesale / retail customer journey to maximise efficiency, reduce leakage and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Skills & Requirements:
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading a team and making strategic decisions.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment.
Commitment to Excellence: Dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and continuous improvement.
Industry Experience: Experience in hospitality retail and/or food manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
