We are seeking a highly experienced senior Production Operative to oversee all aspects of production for a local Forages and Fibre manufactures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the mill, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The Mill Operations Manager will play a crucial role in optimising production processes, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and leading a team of dedicated staff members.
* Oversee the daily operations of the mill.
* Promote and enforce safe working practices.
* Train team members on specific machinery and processes.
* Ensure quality control
* Implement strategies to reduce waste.
* Work to increase production output.
* Collaborate with the Mill Manager to plan for the highest quality products, considering incoming materials.
* Lead and manage ’Focus Projects’.
* Support preventive maintenance tasks and assist in fixing breakdowns.
* Work with the Mill Manager and Engineering Team to suggest and implement improvements in the mill.
* Oversee the introduction of new equipment and projects.
