About the Role: Infused Solutions have partnered with a dynamic fintech organisation to recruit a Payments Architect on a permanent basis. This exciting hybrid role requires you to be onsite in Manchester for 3 days a week. If you are passionate about shaping the future of payments and have an in-depth understanding of the UK payments landscape, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities: * Payment Landscape Expertise: Deep understanding of the UK payments systems, including Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, SEPA (Credit Transfer, Direct Debit, SCT Instant), Cross border payments (SWIFT), and emerging technologies such as Open Banking.
* High-Level Design Development: Create and develop high-level design strategies for payment systems.
* Agile Project Lifecycle Support: Collaborate with delivery teams throughout the agile project lifecycle to ensure seamless execution.
* Initial Business Engagement: Engage with business units to determine concept designs, project estimates, and provide technological guidance.
* Impact Assessment: Evaluate the impact of projects developed by other technology teams on the EMEA Treasury environment, covering technology, people, and processes.
* Design Review: Ensure project designs adhere to organisational design standards and technology stacks.
* Technology Strategy: Set and implement technology and design standards for the department.
* Collaboration with Enterprise Architecture: Work closely with the enterprise architecture team to build and enhance the treasury platform.
* Blueprint Development: Support the development of the Global Banking and Markets Technology strategy through the creation of blueprints in the treasury space.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
* Status Reporting: Provide regular status updates to senior management in both technology and business units.
Required Knowledge and Skills: * Extensive knowledge of SEPA, SWIFT, CHAPS, and ISO payment standards.
* Experience in developing and supporting payment systems.
* Strong ability to engage with business stakeholders and technology teams.
